IFTTT update: Gmail on IFTTT just got even better

We added improvements to Gmail on IFTTT

Over one billion people have an email address that ends in gmail.com — so it’s not surprising that it’s one of our most popular services. To help you do more with Gmail, we’re happy to share that the service now has several new options to explore.

1. Create a draft

Turn your drafts folder into a catch-all for on-the-go ideas, meeting notes, or anything else you might want to quickly share out. The content will be sitting in your Gmail, ready for you to polish and send.

2. Send yourself an email

Now you can build Applets with a simple action: send this content/photo/news/item/etc to my Gmail inbox. In the past, an Applet could send content in an email from your Gmail — but in order to receive the content yourself, you’d have to include your email as one of the recipients.

3. Send an email to larger groups — up to 60 separate addresses!

Before, Applets could send content to up to five email addresses via your Gmail account. Now, you can send it to up to twenty. We’ve also added the ability to include up to twenty bcc: and twenty cc: emails. That adds up to more people receiving the right information, at the right time, with the right visibility.

4. Export an email archive

Gmail’s high storage limits mean you never have to delete your emails. But there are situations where you might want to view the emails you send in a different format, with new context around them. Now you can pull the details into a Google spreadsheet, or another cloud-storage service. You could even add them to a calendar.

Of course, all of these new features are in addition to the things you could always do with Gmail and IFTTT. Gmail Applets can also run when you:

We’re excited to see what you do with these new super-powered Gmail options. Unleash your inbox today!
