Proper tire care and safety is simple and easy. Checking your tires on a regular basis is an important step in protecting your safety. Ideally, tire inspections should be performed monthly.

 
Here are some tips to get the most out of tires and stay safe on the road:
Check tire pressure and spare on a regular basis, at least once a month.
Inspect tires for uneven wear patterns on the tread, cracks, foreign objects, or other signs of wear or trauma.
Remove bits of glass and other foreign objects wedged in the tread.
Check tread depth by placing the edge of a penny upside-down into the grooves of the tire's tread.
It is important to have your tire balance checked periodically to avoid irregular wear.
Regularly check your tires for proper alignment to ensure your tires will last the full life for which they were intended.
Do not overload your vehicle. Check the tire information placard or owner's manual for the maximum recommended load for the vehicle.
